The Family Ministries of First Baptist Church of Evergreen has formed and established an Orphan Care Team.  Based on the conviction from Scripture that God is most immediately recognized as Father and based on His command in James 1:27 for Christians to look after and care for orphans, this new team will be moving forward in a three-fold vision.

1.  We will commit to pray for orphans in the Colorado area and around the world.
2.  We will provide practical ministry needs for orphans, adoption agencies, and adoptive or foster parents.
3.  We will educate our people on the theological significance of adoption and allow God to foster the hearts of husbands and wives to consider adoption.

Seeds Family Worship is a terrific ministry that provides catchy, entertaining music incorporated with Scripture.  The intent is to make Scripture memorization in the home fun and easy.  I was reminded a couple of weeks ago how music can aid in our memorization when one of my students “sang” the books of the Bible in order to me!  Here is a brief description from the Seeds Family Worship website:

“Seeds Family Worship was planted when worship leader, Jason Houser, was asked to write some songs to help kids remember the verses from his church’s summer Bible school.  The songs were well crafted and taken from Scripture.  Families liked them. . .a lot.”
